Crimea 1854-56, 3 clasps, Alma, Balaklava, Sebastopol (J. Isaac, 4th Dragoons) officially impressed, good very fine £1200-1500

John Isaac was born at Farrington, Barnstaple, Devon, and was employed as a gardener prior to his enlistment on 18 January 1844. Confined to Scutari Hospital, 2 November - 14 December 1854, he died on 8 October 1855.

Although his early death precludes an entry in ‘black type’ in the Lummis and Wynn book
Honour The Light Brigade, the probability is that he did take part in the Charge.
