Naval General Service 1793-1840, 1 clasp, 1 June 1794 (John Heraut) better than very fine £1000-1200

Confirmed on the rolls (John Heraule) as a Landsman aboard the Brunswick. This ship played a prominent part in the action when she sailed between two French ships and fired a double broadside as she passed through. In doing this a large number of her company were wounded and she became entangled with the spars and rigging of Le Vengeur, which ship was sunk. Sold with copies form the original Application Lists and the Ship’s Log.
