Sada Singh enlisted in 5 (Bombay) Mountain Battery in 1891 and earned medals for Burma 1885-7, Punjab Frontier 1897-98 & Tirah 1897-98, and the Queen’s & Khedive’s Sudan medals for service at Suakin. He was promoted to Jemadar on 14 May 1901.
