NETHERLANDS, Liberation of Groningen, 1672, a silver medal, unsigned, army before city and ramparts, rev. inscription and names of city councillors and senators in 16 lines, 58mm (v. L. III, p.99). Some edge nicks, otherwise nearly extremely fine £300-400

Groningen was besieged by the forces of the Archbishop of Cologne and the Bishop of Münster from 9 July to 17 August 1672, during the third Anglo-Dutch War
