INDIA, Lord Curzon of Kedleston, Viceroy of India, 1899, a copper award medal by A. Wyon, conjoined busts of Lord and Lady Curzon left, rev. arms and supporters, edge named (B.P.R.A. 1903 Major C.H. Macdonald), 51mm (Pudd 899.1; BHM 3643; E 1835). Sometime cleaned, otherwise good very fine, scarce £80-100

Provenance: E.W. Danson Collection.

Major C.H. Macdonald was Second-in-Command of the 3rd Regiment of Infantry. The medal would have been awarded as a shooting prize by the Bengal Presidency Rifle Association
