Low Countries, Maximilian I, Double-Schauguldiner, 1509, Antwerp, Emperor on horseback right holding Imperial banner, rosette in front, date below, rev. crowned shield within two circles of smaller shields, 66.55g/12h (Egg 14; Dav. 282). Numerous small surface and edge marks, otherwise nearly very fine, rare £2,000-2,500

Despite the date, this specimen, with mintmark rosette, was struck at Antwerp during the Emperor’s stay in the Low Countries in 1517
