Auction Catalogue
In Grateful Remembrance, an oval copper tribute medal by and from A. Wyon, arms and motto persto et spero, rev. legend, un-named, 32 x 25mm. Very fine, presumably very rare £70-90
It has been suggested that the medal may have a connection with James Merry (1805-77), a Scottish ironmaster, MP for Falkirk 1859-74 and breeder of racehorses, who won the Derby in 1860 and 1873 and who owned the Belladrum estate, near Beauly
