Kings of East Anglia, Æthelweard (c. 845-c. 855), Penny, Dudda, large a between pellets, cross below, edelp·ard rex, rev. cross pattée, two pellets in each angle, ·dvdda mon·e·, 1.17g/6h (Naismith E49.1a; cf. Pagan, BNJ 1982, II, 1; N 450; S 953). Nearly extremely fine on a full round flan, extremely rare, especially in this condition £4,000-5,000

Pagan lists ten specimens of the moneyer Dudda, Naismith gives eleven, most of them in inferior condition to the present coin which, in addition, appears to be a unpublished variety, having two small pellets in each angle of the reverse cross instead of one
