Leading Aircraftman (Wireless Operator) Jack Brian Robertswas killed in action on 27 March 1940, when his Blenheim was shot down by fighters whilst attempting to obtain photographs of the recent bombing of Hornum on the Island of Sylt. He is buried in Kiel War Cemetery, Germany.
