William Charles Alexander Jeffares Robinson joined the Navy as an Assistant Clerk in June 1867. He was Assistant Paymaster of Inflexible at the bombardment of Alexandria, 11th July 1882, and during the Egyptian war (Medal with Clasp, and Bronze Star). Served as Fleet Paymaster of Undaunted in China, 1897 to 1901, senior officer’s ship at Woosung during the China war, 1900 (China Medal).
