T.......... Volunteer Infantry, an extremely fine officer’s oval shoulder belt plate c1794-1808, the heavy copper gilt back plate with raised beaded rim bearing a fine reeded eight pointed and eight armed silver star, upon this a further raised and beaded copper gilt oval which with silver backing supports the serif capitals ‘T/VI’, one hook and two studs to the reverse, the gilt worn on the beaded rims, otherwise in very fine condition and rare £300-400
