Royal Humane Society, large bronze medal (successful) (James E. Little, 1 Feby. 1857) fitted with correct ring for suspension, nearly extremely fine £70-90

Case No 15,938. James Edmund Little, a printer, aged 16, saved the life of John L. Albert, a nut vendor, aged 32, at Northwick Pool, Worcestershire, on 1 February 1857. Albert accidentally broke the ice and Little went to his assistance and became immersed, but succeeded in rescuing him. Bronze Medal (Successful) to Little.
