Albert Thomas Beauchamp was born at Downton, near Salisbury, Wiltshire, on 11 August 1874. He entered the Royal Marine Light Infantry in March 1893, was promoted to Corporal in April 1900, and transferred to to the Royal Navy Police as Provost Ship’s Corporal 2nd Class in March 1903. He became Ship’s Corporal 1st Class shortly afterwards and was promoted to Master-at-Arms in August 1912. During the Great War he served aboard Zealandia from October 1912 until September 1917, and aboard Victory I until June 1919. Sold with copy service record.
