Col., O.B.E., M.B., R.A.M.C.); 1939-45 Star; Defence & War Medals, with M.I.D. oak leaf; Jubilee 1935; Coronation 1937, the group mounted with a name-erased 1914-15 Star to which he is not entitled, nearly extremely fine (11) £550-650

London Gazette 21 December 1937: ‘For services rerndered in the field in connection with the operations in Waziristan during the period 17/1/37 to 15/9/37.’

M.I.D.
London Gazette 13 July 1916 (Mesopotamia), 8 May 1936 (North West Frontier 1935), 18 February 1938 (North West Frontier 1937), and 20 December 1940 (France and Belgium).

Roy Kyffin Mallam was born on 23 June 1888 at St Clement, Oxford. He qualified M.B., B.S. (Lond.) 1911 (London Hospital), and was commissioned Lieutenant in the Royal Army Medical Corps on 26 January 1912. He served in India, Mesopotamia and Persia 1914-18; Afghanistan 1919; Mohmand Operations 1935; Waziristan Operations 1937; B.E.F., France and Belgium 1939-40. He retired with the rank of Hon. Brigadier on 11 September 1946, and died on 9 January 1969.
