The following obituary was published in
The Journal of the Queen’s Own Hussars in April 1969: ‘Major Dick Yeomans died on May 10th, 1968, as the result of an accident at the age of 64. He enlisted in 1919 as a Band Boy and joined the 7th Hussars from the 15/9th Hussars in 1929, becoming a Troop Sergeant-Major in 1938. He was commissioned in the Middle East in 1941 and joined the Royal Engineers serving in the Movement Control Section. He retired from the Army in 1954.’

Major Richard James Yeomans was killed in a road accident in Grimsby. Sold with further details.
