M.I.D. London Gazette 8 October 1982: ‘In recognition of gallant and distinguished service during the operations in the South Atlantic. 24587118 Guardsman Gary Brown, Scots Guards.’

Gary Brown enlisted at Inverness for the 2nd Battalion, Scots Guards, on 4 March 1981. He served with the 2nd Battalion in the Falkland Islands where they fought with distinction in the attack on the well entrenched enemy positions on the craggy ridge feature of Tumbledown Mountain on the night of 13th/14th June 1982. Sold with a copy Certificate of Service, dated 23 February 1987.
