Vainqueur, 1924, a large uniface cast bronze plaque by H. Dropsy, naked man holding winged figure of Fame and palm branch, 240 x 158mm (Dropsy Exh. Cat. 1964, –; cf. Arethuse 5, Oct. 1924; cf. BDW 5, 113). An attractive plaque, light patina, extremely fine and extremely rare (£150-200)

Exhibited at Art Olympique, the exposition staged by the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris to commemorate the Olympic Games in 1924.
