Danseuse, 1912, a large uniface struck bronze medal by H. Dropsy for Canale, young female dancer, 100mm (cf. Dropsy Exh. Cat. 1964, 27; cf. Baudey/Bricher 1992, 95; cf. BDW 1, 687). Very light rubbing on right thigh and calf, otherwise extremely fine and an attractive example (£90-120)

The figure on the medal was inspired by the innovative and influential American dancer, Isadora Duncan (1878-1927)
