Romania, Treaty of Bucharest, 1913, a bronze medal by C. Alessandrescu, busts of the kings of Romania, Montenegro, Serbia, Bulgaria and Greece in medallions, reverse Peace trampling cannon and trophies, names of signatories around, 90mm (BDM –). A handsome medal, extremely fine; in original maroon fitted case of issue with the Romanian royal coat of arms gilt-embossed on the lid (£60-80)

The Treaty of Bucharest, signed on 10 August 1913, brought an end to the Second Balkan War, in which Bulgaria was over-run by Romania, Turkey, Greece and Serbia after its attempt to occupy contested districts of Macedonia failed
