Chaplain for the Ministère de l’Interieur, peasant-woman suckling a baby on her lap, cooling liquid on a spoon before giving it to a young boy, reverse tablet over a bouquet of flowers, un-named, 67mm (PBE 74; Coll. R. Marx 187, this piece; BDM I, 402). Light scuff marks, otherwise very fine, scarce; with the reversed RM monogram of Marx stamped by woman’s left foot (£40-60)
