Charles I (1625-1649), Oxford mint, Halfcrown, 1646, mm. Oxford plume on obv. only, Briot horseman, Oxford plume behind, rough ground below, rev. Declaration, three Oxford plumes above, date and ox below, 15.18g/2h (Bull 631/1; Morr. A-1; SCBI Brooker 918, same dies; N 2436; S 2960). Obverse bluntly struck from a damaged die, nearly extremely fine and much as made, attractively toned, very rare £800-1,000
