Provenance: Baschurch (Shropshire) Hoard (November 2008 element).

Since the original hoard of 193 coins, principally Henry III long cross pennies, was unearthed at Baschurch, Shropshire, in 2007 (now deposited with the Shropshire Museum Service), three further small discoveries of coins were made in 2008 and 2009 and are offered in their entirety in this auction (Lots 359-63). The Baschurch find, considered by Dr Barrie Cook to be a savings hoard on account of it containing a preponderance of issues of the Shrewsbury mint, was deposited
