Charles Edward Dazley was born in Edmondsley, Durham and enlisted at Newcastle-on-Tyne. Serving in the 1/6th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, he was awarded a posthumous M.M. He was presumed to have died on 27 May 1918, aged 35 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Soissons Memorial, Aisne, France. Charles Edward Dazley was the son of George Dazley, of The Aged Miners Home, Craghead, Co. Durham. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details.
