1939-45 Star; Africa Star, clasp, 1st Army; Italy Star; Defence and War Medals, these unnamed; General Service 1918-62, 1 clasp, Palestine 1945-48 (2975696 C/Sjt., A. & S.H.); Efficiency Medal, G.VI.R., 2nd issue, Territorial (2975696 Sjt., A.C.C.) mounted court style for display, nearly extremely fine (7) £140-180

Thomas Messer joined the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders as a Territorial in 1929. In 1946 he was serving with the 8th Battalion in Austria. His home address at the time of the war was at Isobella Place, Edward Street, Dunoon. His Efficiency Medal was posted to him in December 1949; his address at the time was 887 St. Clarens Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
