Ex D.N.W. 30 March 2011.

Serjeant Archibald Smith, 18th Hussars was attached to the Imperial Light Horse, 10 November 1899-26 November 1901. The combination of ‘Relief of Mafeking’ and ‘Talana’ is rare; it is believed that only three medals were awarded with these clasps and only one (the above) awarded to an Imperial unit. Army L.S. & G.C. awarded in July 1906.

With copied roll extracts confirming clasps.
