Provenance: Sotheby, February 1886.

Joseph Osmer was recruited at Maidstone and enlisted into the Royal Waggon Train on 8 May 1815, and immediately embarked for France. Sometimes shown as James in the musters, he was discharged on 23 March 1816, on reduction, with ‘Waterloo’ shown against his name. Sold with copied muster rolls.
