Joseph Dodd was born in the Parish of St Anne’s, Chester, and was a Sawyer by trade before he enlisted for the 34th Foot on 1 April 1809. He served in the Peninsula with the 2nd Battalion and was discharged on 24 November 1817, in consequence of a fractured knee. Sold with copied discharge papers.
