Robert Frosdick was born in the Parish of Rollsby, North Yarmouth, Norfolk, and first enlisted into the 106th Regiment in June 1793. He transferred to the 56th Regiment in September 1794 and moved to the 11th Foot in August 1796, when he was then aged twenty. The Pay List for the period September to December 1810, show Robert Frosdick as Assistant Provost Marshal with additional pay of 6d per day. He was discharged at Athlone on 24 November 1814, in consequence of ‘long service’ and admitted to an out-pension of 1s 11d per day at the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, on 2 December 1814, being ‘generally considered a good man and recommended to consideration’.
