Edwin William Green lived in Birmingham and enlisted at Aldershot, Hampshire. Serving in the 23rd Battalion (2nd Football) Middlesex Regiment, he died on 17 September 1916, aged 20 years. He was buried in the Allonville Communal Cemetery, Somme, France. Private Green was the son of James William and Amelia Green, of 14 Bellefield Avenue, Bellefield Road, Winson Green, Birmingham.

David Morgan Stephens lived at Harlesdon, Middlesex and enlisted at Mill Hill. Serving in the 1st Battalion Middlesex Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 24 September 1917. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial.
