China 1900, 1 clasp, Relief of Pekin (W. J. Rennell, Ord., H.M.S. Endymion), officially re-impressed naming, suspension claw refixed, nearly very fine £140-180

Walter James Rennell was born in Plymouth in November 1881 and entered the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class in March 1897. He subsequently witnessed active service in the Boxer Rebellion, being landed from H.M.S. Endymion for service in the Naval Brigade, and was present at the relief of Pekin. Having then attained the rate of Able Seaman, he died as a result of fracturing his skull during the coaling of the Royal Oak on 28 October 1904; sold with copied service record.
