Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (27839 Sapper C. H. Healey, Rl. Engrs.) minor edge bruising, good very fine £80-100

Charles Henry Healey was born in Shropshire. A Fireman by occupation and a member of the 2nd Cheshire Railway Volunteers R.E., he attested for short service with the Royal Engineers at Crewe on 5 January 1894, aged 22 years, 10 months, being immediately transferred to the Army Reserve. He was recalled to full-time service in December 1899 and served in South Africa, March 1901-May 1902; being discharged at Chatham on 31 May 1902.
