Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, 5 clasps, Tel-El-Kebir, Suakin 1884, El-Teb-Tamaai, The Nile 1884-85, Kirbekan (152 Pte. G. West, 1/R. Hrs.) good very fine £800-900

George West was born in Cargill, Perthshire. A Ploughman by occupation, he attested for the Royal Highlanders at Perth on 15 August 1881, aged 19 years. With them he served in Egypt, August 1882-April 1886; Malta, May 1886-August 1889 and Gibraltar, August-October 1889. Transferred to the Army Reserve in October 1889, he was discharged on 14 August 1893. With copied service papers and roll extracts. Last clasp not confirmed.
