Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, undated reverse, 2 clasps, Suakin 1885, Tofrek (2347 Pte. J. Russell, 5th Lancers) contact marks, nearly very fine £200-240

John Russell was born in Barnstaple, Hampshire. A Gardener by occupation, he attested for the 5th Lancers at Woolwich on 11 June 1880, aged 19 years, 11 months. Served in the Sudan, February 1885-June 1885. Attested for the 1st Class Army Reserve on 14 June 1892; discharged 13 June 1896. With copied service papers.
