Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (Asst. Surgn. W. F. Cullen, Medl. Staff) contemporary engraved naming, edge bruising, contact marks, nearly very fine £180-220

William Fleming Cullen was born in Renton, Dumbartonshire on 26 February 1832. Training at Glasgow, he gained the L.F.P.S. in 1848 and M.D. in 1863. Was appointed Acting Assistant Surgeon on 1 December 1854; Assistant Surgeon, Staff, June 1855; thence with the 26th Foot, January 1856; and Staff, September 1858. Promoted to Surgeon on the Staff, June 1867 and with the 24th Foot, September 1867. Attained the rank of Surgeon-Major in the Army Medical Department in June 1867. Died at Bellary, Madras, 1 May 1877. With copied research.
