Royal Indian Marine Officer’s 1845 Pattern Sword and an 1897 Pattern Infantry Officer’s Sword, the first with 79 cm single fuller blade by S.W. Silver & Co., 2a East Cheap, EC3 is etched with the Royal Cypher GVR and the insignia of the Royal India Marine plus foliate panels, standard Gothic gilt brass hilt incorporating the badge of the Royal India Marine, wire bound fish skin grip complete with gold and blue lace sword knot, in its decorated brass bound leather scabbard; the second with 81.5 cm blade by Fenton Brothers Ltd., Sheffield, Sword Cutlers to the War Office, with single fuller and etched with the Royal Arms and GVR Cypher plus scrolling foliate panels, sheet metal handguard incorporating the GVR Cypher, wire bound fish skin grip in its leather bound Field Service scabbard, the first with areas of rust and pitting the scabbard split and part repaired, the second with slight rust areas near the tip of the blade (2) £100-150
