Beccles Artillery Volunteers 1822 Pattern Presentation Sword, the 82.5 cm bright blade by Hobson & Sons, Lexington St., Golden Square, London.W with single fuller and profusely etched overall including full unit title ‘Beccles Artillery Volunteers’ a cannon, thunderbolts, a fused grenade and Union emblems and the following scroll ‘Presented to Major Thomson Wilson by the Non-Commissioned Officers and Gunners of the Beccles Artillery Volunteers’ on a separate panel ‘Be Just & Fear Not’, standard triple bar plated handguard and wire bound fish skin grip in its plated scabbard, two minor pitting areas at the very tip of the blade and near the last mentioned panel otherwise very good condition
