1st Administrative Battalion Midlothian Rifle Volunteers Officer’s Shako Plate, Edinburgh RVC Piper’s Sporran Cantle, Tooled Leather Cockade With Applied Gilt Button Royal Edinburgh Volunteers c.1803, the first in die stamped silver plate features a QVC over St. Andrew’s cross this in turn overlaid with a circular strap ‘In Defence’ with a central thistle spray, two lug fasteners, the second in die cast silver plate features Edinburgh Castle thistle sprays and the city motto, two loop fasteners, the third of circular outline with mounted gilt button as worn at the top of the 1800 pattern shako; together with an unknown Scottish Rifle Volunteer pouch belt plate being a strung bugle horn over a large thistle head with attendant thistle sprays, two screw post fasteners and a small base metal and enamelled lapel badge for the Jubilee Parade 1931 commemorating the Royal Review of 1881, good overall condition (5) £150-200
