Medals Related to Aviation, Switzerland, 11th Gordon-Bennett Épreuve, Châtelaine, Geneva, 1922, a bronze medal by Huguenin Frès, two balloons in sky watched by a crowd of onlookers on the ground, reverse legend, 28mm (Malpas 216). Extremely fine, scarce; with loop, pin and ribbon for suspension (£40-60)

The épreuve took place from 1 to 6 Aug 1922 and was won by the Belgian pilot Ernest Demuyter
