France, Alsace, 1912, a bronze plaque by G.-H. Prud’homme, head of an Alsace woman left, reverse houses in Strasbourg, bird’s nest in foreground, 68 x 51mm (CGMP p.332; BM Acq. 1983-7, pl.45, 118; BDM VIII, 147; cf. DNW 38, 784); together with Saint-Odile, 1935, an Art Deco bronze medal by P.-A. Morlon, half-length bust of St Odile facing, hands in prayer, reverse St Odile giving benediction to the town of Obernai, monastery of Hohenburg in distance, 59mm (CGMP p.273) [2]. First very fine, obverse lightly spotted, second about extremely fine, rare (£30-50)

First executed in 1912, but not issued by the Monnaie until 1915
