France, Centenary of l’Internat en Médecine des Hôpitaux Civils de Paris, 1902, a plated bronze medal by L.-A. Bottée, figure of Paris comforting a doctor looking after a patient on a stretcher, Notre-Dame in background, reverse figure of Science above a doctor reading a book at a table on which a microscope, skull and other medical accoutrements lie, named (D. Pasturaud, 1871), 68mm (PBE 24; CGMP p.61; BM Acq. 1978-82, pl.36, 21; ANS Exh. Cat. 1910, p.16, 6; BDM I, 232; cf. DNW 35, 547). About very fine (£30-50)

Presumably the date 1871 represents the year the recipient became an intern
