France, Caisse d’Épargne et de Prévoyance du Rhône, 1897, a bronze award medal by H.-A.-J. Patey, seated robed female greeting standing figures, one with a money-bag, sic vos vobis, reverse tablet on palm branches, named (J. Véricel), 72mm (PBE 661; BDM IV, 425; Gaz. Num. 1898, 11). Extremely fine; in original maroon fitted case (£40-50)

The bank was founded in Lyon on 22 Sept 1872; perhaps this medal also served to commemorate its 25th anniversary
