France, Henri IV, Marie de Medici and the Dauphin, 1603, a cast bronze medal by G. Dupré, conjoined busts of Henri and Marie right, draped and cuirassed, reverse allegory of the couple as Mars and Minerva, standing facing, their hands clasped in unity above the young Dauphin, crown in the beak of a bird above, 66mm (Jones 15; Maz. I, 470; Kress 556; Bargello 7932; BDM I, 656; Clifford 430). Good very fine with an attractive patina, some chasing in fields, a moderate yet attractive cast (£250-300)
