Victoria (1837-1901), Proof set, 1839, comprising gold Five-Pounds, ‘Una and the Lion’, 38.29gm (WR 279; L & S 18), Sovereign and Half-Sovereign, silver Crown, Halfcrown, Shilling, Sixpence, Groat and Maundy set, copper, Penny, Halfpenny and Farthing [14]. Five-Pounds with slight surface marks and two light scratches in the obverse field, the reverse with one scratch in field behind Una, other gold coins brilliant, all silver with even tone, copper with much original colour, generally extremely fine or better, a pleasing set; contained in original fitted case (£15,000-20,000)
