Charles I (1625-1649), Halfcrown, Gp. 2 [type 7], mm. lion, similar, reads brt for brit, jewelled crown, ebor below horse re-cut, 10.41gm (Besly 2B; SCBI Brooker 1087, same obv. die; N 2315; S 2869). Clipped and with metal fault in centre of reverse, otherwise fine and toned, a very rare variant (£120-180)
