Italy, Michelangelo Buonarroti, a cast bronze restitutional portrait medal, perhaps 17th/18th century, draped and bearded bust right after Leone Leoni, rev. the Three Graces, half-length figures with fruit and flowers around, cherub below reaching for grapes, beaded border both sides, 93mm. An excellent cast with even tone, some improving tooling to portrait, slight rubbing to the central Grace's nose and high spots on reverse, otherwise good very fine and rare £150-200

The beaded border is reminiscent of the portrait medals of Claude Warin
