Ernst Gabriel Frankel, currently aged 89, Professor Emeritus of Ocean Systems at the School of Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an advisor to the Panama Canal Authority, previously worked for Harland & Wolff and P & O. Reginald Patrick Linstead, CBE (1902-66), chemist, rector of Imperial College, London
