Generally fine to very fine, some better, an excellent group of Tomson issues, PPM 43 of the highest rarity, only one other known to the cataloguer [Lincoln Museum], others mostly rare £400-500

Nicholas Rodsby (†1658), apothecary, wife’s name Jan; Henry Serson, innholder, The Falcon, gentleman; Edward Tomson, chandler. There is a strong likelihood that the Tomson tokens were issued by a father and son, PPM 41-4 being the issues of the father (†1666), PPM 45 (the obv. die of which would suggest an issue of c. 1668) and the 1666 halfpence (PPM 46 [not present here] and 47) the issues of the son (†1691)
