Pair: Sergeant J. Hudson, Grenadier Guards

General Service 1918-62, 1 clasp, Cyprus (22545167 Sgt. Gren. Gds.); Coronation 1953, unnamed, mounted for display, last with some contact marks, very fine and better (2) £80-100

Jack Hudson was born in Bradford, Yorkshire on 10 March 1934. He enlisted into the Grenadier Guards at Manchester on 7 April 1952. After training at the Guards Depot at Caterham, Surrey, he was posted to the 1st Battalion, where he gained the Coronation Medal - this confirmed in service papers. After serving at Home and in Germany, he was posted to the Anti-Tank Platoon of the 3rd Battalion serving in Cyprus on internal security operations, April 1957-February 1958, earning the G.S.M. with clasp for Cyprus. He was discharged as a Sergeant with an exemplary character on 6 April 1958. His address on discharge was given as 68 Sarah Street, Darwen, Lancashire. With copied service papers.
