War Medal 1939-45, unnamed; General Service 1918-62, 2 clasps, Palestine 1945-48, Malaya (Lt., Mx.), clasps connected by cotton; U.N. Korea 1950-54, unnamed, mounted court style as worn, very fine (3) £200-250

Peter William Clifford West was born on 3 July 1927. After serving in the ranks for a year, he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in August 1946 and appointed a War Substantive Lieutenant in February 1947 - serving in the Middlesex Regiment. After being on the Unemployed List he was appointed a Lieutenant in the R.A.S.C. in June 1952 and promoted to Captain in June 1956 and Major in December 1963. Served with the Royal Corps of Transport from July 1965.
