Frederick Charles Anderson was born on 8 September 1878. During the Great War he served with Squadron II of the Armoured Car Division and embarked for Russia on 1 December 1915. His record of service shows that he was on detached service on Caucasian Front, Kipriki, August-September 1916; on detached service in Dobrudska, Hirsova, November-December 1916; on detached service in Roumania, Galatz, December 1916; and at Tiraspol Base from January 1917, where he was accidentally killed on 16 April 1917. He was buried in the Military Cemetery, Tiraspol, and is commemorated by name on the Haidar Pasha Memorial, near Istanbul.
